Feng Shui Bathroom (How A Bathroom Flushes Prosperity & What You Can Do About It)

Alright, so we’re in the article that’ll reveal to you – general and direction-wise – feng shui bathroom and toilet guidelines, rules, regulations, concepts and remedies. But before we begin, I must tell you an undeniable fact or a concept of feng shui towards a bathroom or toilet, here it is:

“Bathrooms and toilets have got a really bad reputation as far as feng shui is concerned”.

and here’s why: As per feng shui, bathrooms and toilets (I’ll call them bathrooms from hereon for sake of simplicity) have the tendency to drain or flush away the positive “Qi” energy of your home.

Hence, if “Qi” enters the bathroom (read as bathroom or toilet) then rest assured that it’s flushed right away out of your house and that’s what we certainly don’t want to happen.

Note: Here, I assume that you’re completely aware of concepts of feng shui and “Qi” energy; if – by any chance – you aren’t then please read the article @ Feng Shui and the concept of “Qi”.

Feng Shui Bathrooms

Ok, coming back to the topic of bathrooms; since each and every part or corner of a house is related to an aspect of life, hence a bathroom in one particular corner or part would affect that specific area of life; this is what I’ve explained further – with examples – in the next section of the article, so, just read on.

Bathroom Feng Shui – Why You MUST Do It

As said earlier that each and every part or direction of a home is related to a specific aspect of life and a bathroom in that part will drain the luck or benefits of that aspect of life.

Here are some examples:

A bathroom in South-East: – Since South-East part of a house is related to wealth, a bathroom in this part will drain away all the money from the house; joblessness, sinking income, increasing debt and even bankruptcy are some effects of South-East bathroom.

In North-West: – The North-West part of the house deals with helpful people and luck from heaven, a toilet in this part will drain away all those from you. No help from anyone, backstabbing, office politics, discredit etc. are some effects of North-West bathroom.

and the list can go on and on for other directions too.

Now, there’s an image in the article @ Colors and Directions that’ll reveal to you the relation between directions and the aspect of life ruled by each direction. You can have a look at that image and you’ll be able to understand the good aspect – of your life – which a bathroom in that particular direction will drain away.

But hey, a bathroom or toilet have to be somewhere in the house. Isn’t it? The answer to that it yes, they can be in the house but remember wherever they are they’ll – at least try to – reduce the benefits of that direction(s).

Hence, it’s vital to have feng shui a bathroom in the home; this’ll minimize – or possibly eliminate – the draining or flushing of “good” from life; so, the next question popping in your mind would be how to have a feng shui bathroom? That’s exactly what I’ve detailed – in do’s and don’ts format (I know you love it) – you in the next section of this article, so just read on.

Bathroom Feng Shui – How to Do It

So, here we are, in the second section of the article; the section that deals with the actionable things when it comes to bathroom feng shui.

Here in this section you’ll find feng shui bathroom tips – as promised, in do’s and don’ts format – all you now need to do is to just go through these tips and apply them to the bathroom and toilets of your home so that they aren’t able to drain luck, money, love or anything positive from your home.

Here, I’ll suggest you, that before you start reading feng shui bathroom tips, you must read the article @ Feng Shui Colors; that’s because once you read – and really understand – the essence of that article, you’ll be able to understand the reasons for – most of – the remedies that are mentioned below.

However, if you don’t read that article, that’s completely ok, the remedies will still work; but in that case you’ll just be applying the remedies without knowing the exact science or reason behind the remedies. Anyways, it’s all up to you.

So, without any more delay, let’s raise the curtain and start learning feng shui bathroom tips.

The tips 1st to 8th are general bathroom tips (which can be applied to any bathroom or toilet); number 9th to 13th are direction specific feng shui bathroom tips i.e. you must apply them if your bathroom is located in that particular direction.

Bathroom/Toilet – What To Do

  1. Always keep the bathroom door closed.
  2. Make sure to keep the toilet lid closed.
  3. Replace any torn curtains with new ones.
  4. Keep the bathroom clean, fresh and airy. Use a good air freshener.
  5. Make sure that the bathroom receives ample sunlight and fresh air.
  6. Keep windows, ventilators and doors of bathroom clean.
  7. Place a mirror on the door of the bathroom, this’ll make the “Qi” bounce back into the house/room and not enter the bathroom or toilet. Just make sure that the mirror is placed as per rules of feng shui; more on feng shui mirror rules @ Mirrors and Feng Shui.
  8. Get the best essential aromatic oils for a relaxed bath.
  9. If there’s a bathroom in North-East or South-West then;
    1. Hang a metallic wind chime in the bathroom.
    2. Make sure that there are no Chinese symbols on the chime.
    3. Make sure that no one passes or sits under the wind chime.
    4. Place metallic colored rugs such as gold, silver or grey; circular shaped ones must be preferred.
  10. If there’s a bathroom in South then;
    1. Hang a crystal ball in the window of the bathroom; the rainbow lights from the crystal will reduce the bad fire energy.
    2. Make sure to cleanse the crystal ball as it’s going to absorb negative energy.
    3. Alternatively, you can also use a crystal geode which is a rock with hollow center.
    4. Place square shaped skin colored rug; you can also opt for yellow, pink or chocolate brown colored ones.
  11. If there’s a bathroom in North then;
    1. Place some lush green houseplants in the bathroom.
    2. Put a square shaped rug in shades of green.
  12. If there’s a bathroom in East or South-East then;
    1. Place glitter lamps in the bathroom and make sure to turn them on for around 2-3 hours daily.
    2. If glitter lamps aren’t your thing then you can light candles in the bathroom.
    3. Triangular rugs in shades of red are best for such a bathroom.
  13. If there’s a bathroom in West or North-West then;
    1. Just place an urn with water in the bathroom.
    2. Place blue shaded rug; if possible, get a wavy shaped one.

Bathroom/Toilet – What to Avoid

  1. Avoid clutter in the bathroom; in fact avoid it everywhere.
  2. Avoid mirrors reflecting toilet seats. More on mirrors feng shui @ Feng Shui Mirrors.
  3. Avoid leaking taps and faucets; replace them immediately else they’ll flush away the money.
  4. Replace broken items, such as, soap dispensers, shampoo bottles etc.
  5. Don’t keep old and worn-out toothbrushes in bathroom.
  6. Avoid a bathroom or toilet at the center of home.
  7. Avoid bathroom door facing bedroom, kitchen or dining room.
  8. Avoid locating a bathroom adjacent or near to house entrance.
  9. Never have a bathroom above kitchen or main door.
  10. Avoid locating a bathroom or toilet under staircases. More on staircase @ Feng Shui & Staircases
  11. Never place metallic wind chimes in North, North-West or West bathroom.
  12. Never try to place metallic things in the South-East bathroom; it’ll drain away all the money from house.

With this we come to the end of this article about feng shui bathroom tips.

I am sure that you’ll be benefited by all the above mentioned tips – obviously after applying them – in the bathrooms and toilets of your home.

what if is wachmachine in the bathroom ? southeast

    • Hey Marcus,

Thanks for dropping by on FengShuiPundit.com.

If your bathroom is in the South-East (SE) of your home then you need to apply remedies mentioned in the 12th point of “What To Do” section of the article..

If you’re planning to keep a washing machine in the SE part of a bathroom then that seems ok to me..

Feel free to ask further questions…

      Thanks

      • Marcus Samuel

Thank you dear!!! very well explained!!

      • Marcus Samuel

What is an urn with watter ? In bathroom End what is his serve? Thank you

        • An urn is a container to store something. The reason to put an urn with water in the West or North-West bathroom is to balance the energy of elements (the 5 basic elements)..

In order to easily and completely understand the relationship between elements and directions I’d suggest you to go through the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/

          Hope this helps.

          Thanks

      • Marcus Samuel

        Hi Pundit

I when go out from my home southeast i can see cable eletricity up 6,7 m from ground ,faraway from home 5 m.tell me something about that

        Thank you

        • Hey Marcus,

The electricity pole and high tension cables aren’t supposed to be good in feng shui, especially when they’re very near the house..

a logical reason for this is that they may become a threat to anyone who goes too near to them and the cables may snap during bad weather (causing damage of life and property)..

Since, as you said – in your case, the cables are far away from your home, they should be fine..

Feel free to ask further questions if you have ..

          Thanks

  • Hazel Beeston

Help I have a bathroom in the sw ,what colours should I decorate as I can’t move it ,any cures I can put in place ,thankyou.

    • Hi Hazel,
Thanks for dropping by on FengShuiPundit.com!

In a SW bathroom you can use metallic colors such as white, silver, gold etc. You can also use wooden colors but that’s a too strong remedy.

I’d suggest you to go through the article about feng shui colors (the link I’ve mentioned below). That article will help you understand what colors are best suited for which area (or direction) of the house and how to apply feng shui remedies using colors.

      Here’s the article link:

Please feel free to ask further questions.

      Thanks,

      • Hazel Beeston

Thankyou very much for your help ,I shall put them into practice ,much appreciated 😀X

  • Hi Jessie,
    Thanks for all the love!

    On the 1st floor
You’ve a bathroom in NW of the house. That’s not a big problem. All you need to do is:
    1. Keep the door of the toilet closed at all the times
    2. Just place an urn with water in the bathroom.
    3. Place a blue colored rug in the bathroom (waves shaped)

Also, you’ve said that there’s a kitchen in NW of the house on 1st floor (I’m a bit confused here; is there a bathroom or kitchen in NW)

    Master in SW is awesome!
Living room in NE is really good.
Dining in SE is also ok.
Full bath in North is ok but if there’s a toilet in that bathroom then try not to use it.
South facing houses can be very auspicious!
Garage facing South is ok but make sure to park your vehicles facing North in those garage.

Feel free to ask further questions.
    Thanks

  • skumar

    Hi
We have a toilet in the east of our rented house. How can we enhance health, happiness and wealth.

    Thanks
    Skumar

  • Oroles

    Hello
After i read this article i realised i have a bathroom in SW and is just above the kitchen. One friend advised me to change the bathroom (to move my study room from the NE to the bathroom place).
But since that bathroom is the biggest (main) the remaining one is too little for 4 members.
What should i do ? Is any way to go like this or should i change it into the office?

    Thank you !

    • Hi Oroles,

Thanks for dropping by on FengShuiPundit.com

The 9th point (of what to do section) of this article has got remedies that you can apply for SW bathroom.
Now, as you said that the bathroom is above a kitchen that’s not good; kitchen is fire and bathroom is water so water over fire (water being dominant will put off fire energy). In this case what you can do is (if you can) make a false ceiling in the kitchen.

Also, if you can, then send me a sketch of your home (mark North on it) and I’d be more than happy to help you!

Feel free to ask further questions!

      Thanks

  • venusorog

pls send me an advice, i send layout of my house, because since i stated to leave here we always have a big problem, specially like now i lost my job and i cant find a new one… 🙁

    • Hi Venusorog,

Thanks for dropping by on FengShuiPundit.com!

I can see you’ve placed washing machine and dryer in North of the house. If you can, then please move it to the bottom right corner of the same room (that’ll reduce the load on exact North of the house and North is related to career opportunities and income).

Also in the first floor, if you’ve anything heavy in the North of store room then move it to the right bottom corner of the same room.

Please make these changes. I hope you’ll land up on your dream job in a few days!

Feel free to ask further questions.

      Thanks!

      • venusorog

        thank you for your reply,

Since we move in this house we always have a problem specially in financial, i have three daughters, my youngest has down syndrome and she’s 1 year old and 5 months right now, she is newly undergone open heart surgery. did you see anything wrong in our house? pls advice me some remedy on what to do because i have a fear right now to lose my family… 🙁

i am now planning to move the washing and dryer, i draw a layout on where to move it.

        pls see the attach picture,

        THANKS…

        • Is this your own house or rental?

          • venusorog

this is my house thru housing loan since 2011,

            why? what did you see?
is our house is so bad in feng shui?

about my daughter who has down syndrome what can you say about it?

          • Ok.

The house isn’t that bad. I’ve seen houses that’re terrible and there’s nothing that can be done for them.

Was your daughter born around after 21 months of moving in the house?

I can see that there’s a gas stove near the center of the house and that shouldn’t be there. If you can move that from center to SE or NW (in place of dining table).

You can move the dining table to gas stove location provided it’s not heavy.

Also, make sure that while sleeping none of the body part is reflected in any of the mirrors in the room (not even on TV screen). If there’re such mirrors (or TV screen) then you need to cover them while sleeping.

Feel free to ask further questions.

            Thanks

  • Nikhil Mody

Hello Sir, This is my house layout and please advice what should be done to cure the bad things out from the house.

  • Hi Nikhil,
Thanks for dropping by on FengShuiPundit.com

Placing metallic wind chime will reduce the “bad earth” element of NE and SW.
For more understanding on relationship amongst elements please refer to the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/

  • Shweta Singh

    Hi
I am looking for an advice to bring financial luck at home. Right now we are facing lot of financial hassles . Please help

    • Hi Shweta,

Thanks for dropping by on FengShuiPundit.com

As you said that you’re facing financial issues, I suspect that there’s something wrong with North of your home. May be there’s a toilet/bathroom or something that shouldn’t be there.
Send me a sketch of your home and mark North direction on it. I’d be more than happy to help you!

      Thanks

      • Shweta Singh

But the house is south facing. How to make a sketch and send. please help me.

        • Hi Shweta,

Just draw a sketch of your home and mark North direction in it, take a snap of the drawing and attach it with your next comment. I’d be more than happy to help!

          Thanks

  • Rest looks good to me. Try to open windows of East and North sides in the morning time; this’ll help the house to get some fresh morning air and sunlight.

  • Ayna

    Hello Pundit!
Your page/site is very helpful and I love it. I am not quite good with directions and when I tried using a compass to find out locations of house areas it made me even more confuse.. I am so desperate because since we moved to this new house (2years ago) I’ve noticed the struggle that my family experience in all aspects of life.. my daughter been diagnosed of autism, my husband got laid off from work, almost wanting to file bankruptcy, my dad been diagnosed of liver psirosis etc. I hope that you can help us and I would appreciate any advice from you regarding feng shui of our house. I attached here the layout of our house (1st and 2nd floor). If you will notice our kitchen has a bathroom over it and our stove i believe is facing north? (Not sure bout the direction) If I understood it right you’ve mentioned that these are all bad in feng shui, however im hesitant to follow the cure youve mentioned on uour article as I’m not quite sure if the directions I assumed are right, please help me/us.. Big thanks in advance! I aplohize about these links you’ll find at the bottom.

    • Hi Ayna,

      Thanks for linking my website.

You might know that directions are very crucial when it comes to feng shui. Without knowing correct directions we can’t move ahead and apply remedies.

Here’s an article about finding directions that’ll help you: http://www.vastushastraguru.com/vastu-shastra-directions/

Once, you’re done with identifying the directions of your home, please send me the same layout marking North on it. I’d be more than happy to help you.

Feel free to ask further questions.

      Thanks

    • Hi Ayna,

Sorry for replying so late. Which direction is North in the layouts?

      Thanks

  • Hi Svetoslava,

For a kitchen in SW you need to balance the elements there. The element of SW is earth and kitchen means fire that’s why a kitchen in SW isn’t considered.

Please read the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/
and you’ll be able to understand how to balance element using colors.

Also, it’s best not to have a bathroom over kitchen (bathroom means water and kitchen is fire. So water over fire isn’t good). I think that having a false ceiling in the kitchen will help reduce the ill effect of the defect.

Feel free to ask further questions.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ayna,

Request you to mark North in the second image. That’ll be better for assessment

    Thanks

  • Hi Ayna,

Thanks a ton for marking the directions.

I can see there’s a kitchen in North of the house and that may lead to career and financial troubles for the residents of the house.

You can apply feng shui remedies mentioned @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-kitchen/

Rest looks good to me. Try to face North or East while eating food. Avoid facing West or South.

Feel free to ask further questions.

    Thanks!

    • Ayna

Thank you so much pundit! I just have one more question, is deck considered as part of the house? We have a deck extended from the dining area that made me confuse if our living room is in south or SE direction?

      • Hi Ayna,
        You’re most welcome!

If the deck is covered then it should be considered as a part of the house. Your living room is in the SE and there’s an extension of NE of the house (and that’s considered very good in Vastu Shastra aka Indian Feng Shui)

        Thanks!

        • Ayna

Thank you, thank you!!! My deck is not covered however I just realized that we had our dining area upgraded that made the area bigger than the first image I uploaded. I uploaded an image here without the deck but with my dining area bigger that made my living room looks inserted. (Is that what you called “cut” you’ve mentioned on your article?) Will my living room still be considered on SE? I aplogyze that I have lots of follow up questions.. but thank you so much for your patience and generosity.. God Bless!!!

          • You’re welcome Ayna!

Questioning is a human nature and there’s nothing wrong with it. In fact I like that you’re curious about your dwelling and are determined to make it auspicious for yourself and your family.

Now coming to your question; in the East side if the deck is dominating then we’d say that the SE is cut and if the SE side is more than the deck then we’d say that NE is extended. Based on this, the location of your living room will change.

If NE is extended, then the living room is in SE else it’s in South with SE corner cut or missing.

Hope I was able to explain.

            May God Bless You Too!
            Thanks

  • Shilpa

Hello Pundit! I find your web site excellent. May I please get some advice from you on below floor plans please? We purchased this house & are just about to move in and few warned me that this house is totally wrong on many aspects :-((. We have 2 young boys – 2.5yrs & 2.5months old. Neither my husband(39) nor I (36) have the best health . So this worries me a lot.

    • Hi Shilpa,

The house looks ok to me however it’s not very good either.
For your 2.5 years old son: let him sleep in the NW or NE bedroom.

Move the stove in the kitchen towards NW of the house (away from the center of the house.. Also, I’d suggest you to get a good feng shui consultant) or vastu consultant (if you believe in vastu shastra) visit your place check your house accordingly..

Feel free to ask further questions..

      Thanks

  • Have replied

  • Paul III

    Hi feng shui pundit,

interesting tips and bits on your site, thanks for sharing. I’m concerned, we are planning on remodeling our kitchen, however the new layout will locate it under a second floor bathroom, is there anything that can be done to help resolve this?

    • Hi Paul,

Thanks and you’re welcome. There’s one thing you can do and that’s to make sure that none of the portion of bathroom (especially water usage one) comes above the gas stove in the kitchen..

Feel free to ask further questions..

      Thanks

  • Hi Shilpa,

    Hmm, I do understand that.

Well there’re a few defects that I can see in your home’ here’re two of them

    1. I can see that there’s a toilet in SW and NE of the house and that may lead to stability and growth issues respectively. I’d suggest you to read the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/ to know the relationship amongst elements and how you can use colors to balance them.

    2. Also, there doesn’t seem to be any open space at the center of the house.

I’d suggest you to get a good feng shui or vastu consultant visit your place and do assessment and apply remedies to your home.

Feel free to ask further questions.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Send me a layout of your home and mark North on it. I’d be more than happy to help you!

    Thanks

  • Hi Nikko,

You can try to balance the colors (and simultaneously) the elements in the bathrooms by using appropriate colors.

Here’s the color article that’ll help you: http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/

Feel free to ask further questions

    Thanks

  • Hi Sabrina,

You can hang curtains such that the doors don’t face each other.

    Thanks

  • Hi Princessglgl,

It’s advised to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. Also, SE happens to be the money and wealth area of the house and having a bathroom there leads to financial troubles. You can refer the articles @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/
and @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-wealth/ for the corrective measures you can take!

  • Hi Morizuki,

The house looks good to me. For the bathrooms in the house, refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/ to know what’s the best color for the bathrooms and kitchen in your home.

    Thanks

    • morizuki

I’m not sure what direction, is it North-east? Is it also possible to not just use that bathroom? I mean just close it and lock it and never open it?

I heard that it’s unlucky to have a bathroom near the main door, they said that don’t use the main door, use the backdoor for entering. OR sealed the bathroom, never use it anymore.

      • Hi,

In the first image you’ve marked the entrance as NE facing hence considering that means there’s a toilet in NE of the house near the entrance.

You can keep it closed and not use that bathroom and that’ll help reduce the ill effect of the bathroom there. Also, creating a balance of elements using colors and other feng shui articles will help more.

        Thanks

  • Hi,

If painting cannot be done then you can introduce some items that are of appropriate color and element.

    Thanks

  • Hi Susan,

The side that’s facing outside. Non metallic top should be ok; for more on feng shui elements and colors you can refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/
Number of rods is all up to you.

    Thanks

    • Susan

Thanks a lot for guiding me….you are my feng shui master…. 🙂

  • Pearl

Good Day! I have concern about my bathroom door facing
main door. What can you recommend to have a good feng shui? Thanks

    • Hi Pearl,

Place a curtain or a partition between the doors and keep the bathroom door closed at all times.

      Thanks

  • Hi Amanda,

As per vastu shastra this house isn’t very good to live in. However, you can do the following things:

    1. Use SE bedroom as master bedroom.
    2. for toilet and bathroom in North refer the articles @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-bathroom/ and @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/
    3. For kitchen in South refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-kitchen/

Feel free to ask further questions.

    Thanks

  • Hi Faye,

Keep the office well lit with appropriate color lamps or lights (more on feng shui colors @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/)

If there’s no door then you can use curtains; however, a door is a must!

    Thanks

  • Have replied!

  • In that case you need to make sure to keep the kitchen very well lit via appropriate colored lights.. more on feng shui colors @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-colors/

    Thanks

  • You’re Welcome!

  • Hi Ananda,

Send me a sketch of your home and mark North on it. I’ll be more than happy to help you!

Refer the article @ http://www.vastushastraguru.com/vastu-sleeping-direction/ for best bed orientation.

    Thanks

  • Hi Liz,

    Sleep in SW bedroom.

There’s a bathroom/toilet in SE of the house. Refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-bathroom/ for remedies.

Try not to sleep in North bedroom. Guests can occupy that.

Kid’s and/or guests can sleep in NW bedroom.

Feel free to ask further questions..

    Thanks

  • Hi,

The house seems to be ok to me. If you can then re-orient the bed such that while sleeping your head is pointing towards NW (left side in the image).. Also, you need to re-orient the sofa such that you are able to see the entrance of the home while sitting on the sofa itself.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Please mark North on the layout.

    Thanks

  • Hi Aya,

As this is a public comment, I’ve edited your comment and removed your email id from it just to maintain your privacy.

You’ve said that there’s a big, tall mirror on the floor of the bedroom .. for that you can put a carpet to cover it.

For the other mirror that reflects the bed, you can cover the mirror while someone’s lying on the bed.

For SW kitchen please refer @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-kitchen/

Which side is the bathroom mirror located? I suspect it’s either East or North.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ananda,

As per vastu shastra, the entrance of your home is very good.

For kitchen in South refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-kitchen/

For bathroom and toilet in North, you can read the remedies in this very same article.

While praying, make sure that you or Gods don’t face South. You or God can face East or West.

For wealth refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-wealth/

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Please send me a layout of your home and mark North on it. I’ll be more than happy to help you.

    Thanks

  • It’s not that bad but the other arrangement will have been better than this one…

  • Hi Tal,

Bathroom and WC at the center of the house are bad feng shui.. You can get help of a local feng shui consultant to balance elements via changing colors, placement of appropriate items etc.

    Thanks

  • Is that the bathroom and kitchen almost at the center of the house?

  • Have replied

  • Ramya

    HI,

Is the toilet commode facing E or W is bad?

Will this have any averse effects?

    • Hi Ramya,
Ideally the commode must be in North-South axis

      Thanks

  • Hi Jojo,

Please send me a layout of the house with North marked and I’ll be in a better position to assess. If bathroom doesn’t has windows then try to use some very good air freshener.. I follow the classical one.

    Thanks

  • Hi Shushmita,

For the cuts, you can place 4 pyramids (One each) in North, East, West and South of the house. For the staircase, you can place 2 metal turtles under the lowest step of the staircase; get help from a local feng shui consultant to do that for you..

    Thanks

  • Hi Ken,

I can see there’re toilets in NE, SE, South and North of the house.. please refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-bathroom/ for remedies..

Also, I can see that the master bedroom is above kitchen and that’s not a good feng shui. You can place a mirror under the bed in the master bedroom such that it faces down towards the kitchen.. get help of a local feng shui consultant to do that for you..

    Thanks

  • Yes, you can place a curtain, as placing a mirror may reflect the bed and that’s 1 more feng shui defect.

    Thanks

  • Hi Chong,

A washing machine is a heavy equipment and hence pressurizes the Qi entering the house form the entrance. If possible then move the machine such that it’s not directly above the door or keep the machine on a platform or stand (as that’ll symbolize that the weight of the machine is borne by the stand or platform)

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    Thanks for liking my website..

I can see that there’re toilets in North of the house; please refer the article @ http://www.fengshuipundit.com/feng-shui-bathroom/ for remedies..

do make sure to apply remedies under guidance of an expert feng shui consultant..

    Thanks

  • Hang a curtain of appropriate color or place a partition such that the toilet isn’t visible via entrance. Do get help of a local feng shui person to choose colors for curtains and materials for partition..

    Thanks

  • A partition or curtain at the bathroom and bedroom door is a good solution. Also keep the bathroom door closed at all times..

  • Hi,

Send me a layout of the house (with North marked) and I’ll be more than happy to help you.

    Thanks

  • That wallpaper idea is good. Make sure to choose a wallpaper with appropriate colors. Also keep the bathroom door closed at all times..

    Thanks

  • Hi Tammy,

Are there any windows or ventilators in the bathroom? If yes, then keep them open to let in fresh air.

    Thanks
